Aaron Defeo, the head barmaster of Hotel Congress & Maynards Market & Kitchen, asked me to design an old-time-y poster for his bar’s “motto.” The design was so successful that it’s been turned into a t-shirt as well. I might add, a great motto as well!

Maynards Market & Kitchen on Wednesday August 25th celebrates Alice Waters and her restaurant, Chez Panisse, with a six course wine dinner based on her philosophy of sustainable and local ingredients. The poster design by Heidi Five Studio is an homage to David Lance Goines who has designed posters for Chez Panisse for over 30 years.
